The experience
Description
Today you are greeted at Palermo hotel and driven to Sicilian hinterland to enjoy a real cheese making experience which will give you the opportunity to live a day near a local shepherd who makes cheese in a traditional homemade way (not industrial). You will see the “Màrcato”, ancient haystack typically of Madonie, in which inside we will live a real immersive experience based on the everyday life of a shepherd, from the pasture to the milking, from milk to the cooking to transform it into several kinds of cheese, different each other for the time of aging. There will not miss the tastings of several cheeses produced during that day paired with other food (a kind of light lunch).
In the early afternoon independent stroll in Petralia Sottana historic center.
Then we drive you back to Palermo.
