Tuk -Tuk city tour and Cannolo tasting

Today meet your Guide at hotel and hop on board of an Ape Calessino to discover Palermo most beautiful monuments, hidden corners and historic open-air markets in a fun and effortless way. We start admiring (external view) the two most famous theaters: Politeama Theater and Massimo Theater (Palermo Opera House). We then reach Palermo Cathedral and stop for an internal guided visit. Later we continue our panoramic tour admiring the imposing structure of Palazzo dei Normanni (Palermo Royal Palace), the Church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti with its five red domes, Kalsa district, Piazza Marina and its “Secular Tree”. Along the way we will drive through Palermo historic open-air markets: Vucciria, Ballarò and Capo. The Ape tour will end at the Four Corners which is the center of the old town center and worth a stop to have a look at its sculptures on each of the four corners. Walking south-east down Via Maqueda you will come across Piazza Pretoria with its splendid fountain. We then reach Piazza Bellini where you will admire (external view) the Church of San Cataldo and Martorana. Our last stop will be the internal visit to the Church and Monastery of Saint Catherine of Alexandria (Admission fees included). From 1311 to 2014 this monastery was the home of many cloistered nuns of the Dominican order. Inside the monastery there’s a bakery, where you will enjoy a cannolo tasting realized with the old nun’s recipes. The tour ends at Piazza Verdi (Massimo Opera Theatre Square).
